Where Brooklyn At?
After I picked up the keys to our new apartment in the morning, we made plans to visit after work. Naturally, I picked up some champagne to pop in celebration of the apartment, and a couple slices from a pizza place in the new hood!
Yay, Kristian! So excited about trees outside the window.
In semi-related news, you should know that I’m physically incapable of popping a bottle of champagne. I always make someone else do it and then duck and cover so I don’t lose an eyeball. Totally irrational fear? Maybe.
2 slices of cheese pizza for Kman, 1 slice of veggie + sausage for me. Garlic knots to share!
Both of us were shocked at how manly and adult-like Kman looked in this picture. Not that he isn’t always a stud muffin, but he just seems so mature here! Crazy haha.
Nice new kitchen which I can’t wait to break in!
Bedroom is a little on the small side, but it has some great closet space and good light! And it will be nice and cozy in the winter.
Stay tuned for lots of new decorating ideas, since we’ll definitely be painting, creatively organizing and arranging everything, and making the place “ours” ASAP!
I know who is super excited to move…zee kitties!
I always want to call this Penny’s drag queen picture, but I guess you can’t be a drag queen if you’re already a girl, right?
I may or may not have compared them to princesses locked away in a tower last night. I mean, they have to live on the 30th floor in Jersey City right now, where they can’t see any people, birds, or trees! Totally valid comparison. Slightly crazy, sure. But valid nonetheless.
Don’t worry, I already told them we’re moving and they’re totally cool with it. There is also a birds’ nest on a branch of a tree right outside the window, so I think they’ll be especially excited to see that. Yes, I’m aware how much thought I’ve given to the thought of how our cats will be affected by the move. Crazy cat lady, remember?
Since our apartment is in shambles right now, juicing hasn’t happened the past few days. Instead, I had a bowl of oatmeal with cookie butter for breakfast at home…
And I made a kale/spinach/frozen banana smoothie to bring to work with me.
We happen to have some wicked crazy Friday night plans, guys. Cranking some music and packing all night! Kman’s parentals are coming down to help us move stuff bright and early tomorrow morning, so we need to be all ready for them. Afterwards, we’ll be squiring them about the new neighborhood and taking them to a nice, boozy brunch!
Scottadito on Union Street has a delicious brunch menu, and the option of tacking on bottomless mimosas, all for $20 each! AHTHANKYOU!
