Unlimited Wine Wednesday and a Confession
Last night was an absolute blast from the past! I grabbed dinner with 5 girl friends, most of whom I’ve known since elementary school. The fact that we all migrated from small towns in central Massachusetts to NYC is amazing, since it was such a tiny school. Always nice to have more familiar faces around!
Now, what better place to grab dinner with a group of chicks?
What’s that, you say? UNLIMITED FREE WINE? Done and done.
We all met at 8 and headed into Piola in Union Square and started our mega catchup sesh. We were also celebrating a new job for Steph, and a 23rd birthday for Cassie! Obviously, lots of this was consumed…
Time absolutely flew by, and before I knew it, it was almost 11:30. When I got home, Kman was still waiting up for me and the apartment was absolutely spotless! What a guy. He cleaned the kitchen, did the dishes, etc. He’s a keeper
OK, confession time:
I always swore that I would never, ever, EVER purchase a cat tree. When my old roommates suggested that I get one for Penny, I was adamant that there was no way on God’s green earth that I’d do it. There’s just something about them I don’t like. Well, since we’ve decided to get a new kitten so that Penny has a friend, I decided (after some serious deliberation and an internal struggle) to buy one so they have something to play on.
So…in a few days…we’ll be the [proud?] owners of this bad boy:
Go ahead and judge. I’m still sort of judging myself.
On a brighter note? MY AWESOME BOOTS FINALLY ARRIVED! Wooooo they were waiting for me when I got home last night! Can it just hurry up and be fall already so I can wear them?

When are you getting the kitten? Want to see pics when you do!
I think we’re actually going to get her next Sunday when we come up for the BBQ! From the same place that Katie and Jim got Dexter. So you’d get to meet the kitty then
What, unlimited free wine? REALLY?! There must have been a catch. That’s crazy. Ohh I would put that place out of business…
So my two cats were seriously shredding our furniture, and then we got a cat tree and suddenly all was well! Cats DIE for the cat tree! It’s probably going to be a good investment.
ummm unlimited wine, why did I not know about this before!?
haha as soon as i started putting the tree up, our kitty was allllll over it. and no catch for the wine! well, it was free wine with the purchase of an entree. But delicious, cheap personal sized pizzas…so it was a perfect combo!
Oh, I LOVE Piola! That used to be where I’d hold book clubs (back when I was in the city on weekdays).
