Thankful Things Thursday

Welcome to my second installment of Thankful Things Thursday! It’s so close to the weekend, so what better time to start thinking lots of great, happy thoughts? This is especially useful today seeing as I was rudely awoken at 4:50 by our (insert every possible swear word you can think of here) neighbor. But onwards and upwards, shall we?

I’m thankful I’m not a grumpasaurs rex like I was yesterday. Do you ever have those days where every little thing manages to snowball, and before you know it you’re mad at the world? That was me on our commute home. People, work, customer service, the general stupidity of the human race…nothing was safe from my wrath! Nothing a nice big hug and a good night sleep can’t cure.

I’m thankful our lease is up in July. As much as I adore our apartment, there are a few annoyances. Our awful neighbor who blasts his music and bass during the wee hours of the night/morning and has lots of guests…and the building won’t do anything about him. PATH can be a pain in the butt, and prices are rising on monthly tickets (this is in addition to buying a monthly MTA card). I’d prefer to be spending a bit less on rent, even if it means a smaller place, so we’re both really able to save lots of $$. Soooo we’re looking around on the UWS! icon smile Thankful Things Thursday

I’m thankful for 72oz. bags of chocolate chips at BJ’s. This way, whenever I get hit with the urge to bake, I don’t have to run down the street, or send Kman on a mission, to get a bag of them. More convenient = more cookies! I baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies last night, and I’m bringing them into work today.

I’m thankful that our vacation to Puerto Rico is in 16 days. We finally booked an awesome place to stay through airbnb, and have a little list of stuff we want to do…#1 being RELAX! icon smile Thankful Things Thursday It will be so nice to completely unplug and unwind.

I’m thankful for our cute-as-buttons kitties. On top of the fridge…so naughty!

I’m thankful for my new coffee maker. I was so used to my old, drippy, leaky Mr. Coffee that I got freshman year at Colby, but Kman surprised me by ordering a new, awesome, non-leaky one from Amazon! No more losing 2 cups of water when I make coffee now. icon smile Thankful Things Thursday

I’m thankful that I have a great “second fam.” I adore Kman’s whole family! We hung out with everyone on Saturday, and it was so much fun to see everyone. Oh, and did I mention that his sister, Katie, asked me to be a bridesmaid in her and Gavin’s wedding next summer?! I was beyond thrilled and honored!

I’m thankful that I get to see my parents next Wednesday. I know this is a repeat from last week, but what can I say? They’re just the absolute best!

Question: What are you guys thankful for today?! Let’s hear it. It can be anything!

Ooh, I need to get my hands on a 72 oz bag of chocolate chips! However, while it would be wonderfully convenient, it would also be incredibly dangerous. Hehe :-p

Your trip to Puerto Rico sounds like it’s going to be amazing. I’ll be living vicariously through you!

Happy day-after-Thanksgiving! xoxo

I have lived on the UWS for five years and LOVE it, and I’m obsessed with my building (which is gorgeous and luxury but still somehow reasonably priced) – drop me an email and I’m happy to share details if you want to check it out. Or just if you want to meet up over coffee when you’re checking out places in the neighborhood :)

Hope you are enjoying Puerto Rico right now!

Yes! I’d love to. I’ll email you when I get back from vaca and we can chat :) And coffee sounds like a great plan…I love walking around the area to scope it out.
