Spring Cleaning for Your Bod!
After work yesterday, I passed by so many runners while walking home! The weather was perfect and I was feeling restless from sitting all day, so I threw my running clothes and headed out for a little run. Just 3 miles into Liberty State Park and back, but it was the perfect amount to decompress after work.
Since I made too much filling for the stuffed peppers Monday night, we had some leftover filling which ended up being dinner. Topped with an over easy egg…so delish! I was too hungry and forgot to grab a pic, but you get the idea.
Then it was time to host #fitblog! Naturally, I didn’t feel the need to change out of my sweaty clothes and ended up moderating the chat while laying sprawled out on the floor. Ellie kept trying to type questions, but she is seriously lacking in the typing skills department.
Just for fun, and because I think they’re pretty fun to think about, here’s the topic and 4 questions I chose to discuss last night in the chat!
Spring Cleaning for Your Bod
Q1) Now that the weather is FINALLY nice, it’s time to come out of hibernation! Fess up, do you slack off on workouts in the winter?
Q2) Now that the weather is nicer, how will this affect your fitness plans? Fewer gym classes, more outdoor runs?
Q3) What is the one fresh fruit or vegetable that you start craving as soon as spring arrives?!
Q4) What’s something that you noticed you did over the winter this year that you plan to improve upon next year?
Leave some of your answers in the comments!
After the chat, I wound down by watching Friday Night Lights in bed with Kman while eating some frozen mixed berries, covered with almond milk and a drizzle of honey. It’s one of my absolute favorite desserts in the world!
I had a lot of fun hosting, and was SUPER motivated to get my workout on this morning after chatting with some amazing, inspiring people.
I threw together a makeshift strength workout and jotted it down on my notepad as I went along. I need to be more proactive about seeking out new workouts and making note of them. For instance, Pinterest has SO many killer workout ideas! I think I’ll do a post on some of them this week…partially so I have them all in one place to reference, and so you can check them out, also.
I forgot how killer Pilates moves can be!! I taught Pilates classes during my senior year at Colby at the campus gym and loved it! Since it was just a campus job, it was OK that I didn’t have any certification. I had taken classes for 5 years pretty consistently and am really familiar with the intricacies of it. Definitely incorporating more of those moves into my workouts!
Then what morning would be complete without a fresh juice?! Apple, lemon, carrots, celery, cucumber. Random fact: every time we juice, we always say to each other in weird voices, “Cheers to health!!”
Have a thuper duper Tuesday, guys!

Those frozen berries are what dreams are made of.
I actually don’t slack off during the winter a ton but do find it harder to get outside and run. Extra layers all the way, Now that the weather is nice I tend to move around a lot more, walk everyone and just enjoy the weather.
Really enjoyed this post!
I’m pretty good all year round with my exercise schedule- although come summer I tend to eat less because I’m always so hot!
