Not entirely sure why I actually made a playlist when I always have song ADD and never make it through an entire playlist without skipping at least one song.

Kman’s sister, Katy, is staying at our place tonight so she doesn’t have to wake up at an ungodly early hour of the morning to get to the start of the race. And a friend of a friend who is volunteering at the race is also staying with us tonight. Slumber party! Sorry guys, hope you don’t mind the possibility of cats walking on your face while you’re sleeping…

Plan for tomorrow morning:

  • Wake up at 5:15
  • Cup of warm lemon water
  • Make a pot of coffee
  • Eat a slice of Ezekiel toast with almond butter
  • Eat a banana
  • Chug 2 bottles of water
  • Liberally apply Body Glide
  • Load Spibelt up with 2 GUs

My only goal for the race tomorrow is to not walk at all. While I would love to average a 9:30 pace for the duration of the run, I will be totally satisfied as long as I do not walk any parts of it! Well, except for a shuffle to grab water since I can’t drink on the run. icon smile Prepping For My First Half Marathon

After the race, Kman’s family is meeting as at the finish line at Coney Island where I will promptly chug a Nathan’s lemonade and perhaps dip my feet in the water.

Then it’s back to our apartment to freshen up, grab a bite to eat, and hit up the Greenmarket with everyone! Later in the evening we have birthday cocktails/dinner to celebrate the birthday of one of my best friends, Sarah! And after that, we’re meeting up with my friends Kate, Meredith, Sara, and Jerome (the last 3 of whom are in NYC for the weekend visiting from MA).

Talk about a jam-packed weekend! Hopefully I’ll have some downtime on Sunday to recuperate. icon smile Prepping For My First Half Marathon
