I’m Not Cool Enough For This

Hey, party people!

I need to get my act together and get back to posting semi on the reg, because I really miss it! After my self-imposed hiatus last week and my early-week traveling/job-starting…blogging has sort of fallen by the wayside. Thankfully, I’ve still been keeping up with my Rachel Cosgrove workout! I double pinky promise, I’ll do a full post on it Monday morning. DEAL!? I swear, I’ll even start it right now.

Just in case you’re even partially curious as to what I’ve been up to this week (humor me, you’re probably not!)…quick recap:

Monday: First day! Meet Emily bright and early to hop in the ZipCar and drive 3.5 hours upstate to the Chobani plant. Best first day of work ever…I mean, just look at this!

Tuesday: Stayed over at the Colgate Inn, went to HQ, drove back Tuesday late afternoon. Met Kman for dinner at Roma Pizza.

Wednesday: First “real” day of work in the office! Met up with Sarah, her boyfriend Greg, and Kman for margaritas on Greg’s roof followed by dinner at Bar Pitti. Saw Dustin Hoffman, NBD.

Thursday: Dinner after work at Meatball Shop with Emily + Lindsay from work, and Ashley  and Jillian! We consumed an obscene amount of meatballs, sides, and ice cream sandwiches, and it was GLORIOUS.

Which brings us to right now.

I had a super blonde moment this morning and forgot to switch my keys over to my other tote bag. Not that bad, you say? Well Kman happens to be at soccer in Williamsburg tonight. This is the only time I’ve missed having a doorman building since we’ve moved!

So here I am…

…sitting in the Tea Lounge down the street from my apartment…

…drinking an iced coffee (bad choice at 10PM, Amy), and listening to some sort of performers. They’re singing Lauryn Hill, handing out PB&Js (?), and also freestyle rapping.

It’s cool…I think? Actually it might be too cool for me. But maybe my cool factor is going up because I’m here?! Ugh, who knows, you guys. I just miss my cats.

On that note, I just got a text that Kman is on his way home! Thank goodness, because the performers have started doing slam poetry. That’s my cue to exit.

Hopefully I can fall asleep at a reasonable hour so I can wake up for an early weightlifting workout in the AM! Night everyone.
