Delicious Dillas

Really, who needs an alarm clock when you have a kitten who starts baking biscuits on your face at 5:30 in the morning?

Baking biscuits = kneading with their paws, for all you non-cat types out there.

I guess I can’t complain too much, since I got the dishes done, cleaned the kitchen, and put some laundry away. Oh and saw this out the window.

Not too shabby to wake up to! Oh, and all of this is happening before we even head out for our run this morning. Yes, I’m writing this real time so I will probably put the computer down in a few minutes to lace up, then finish up once we get back!

I’m on week 2 day 3 of Couch-to-5K and I’m really loving it! Once I let go of all the pressure I was putting on myself, it’s been a piece of cake to just head out for a run, follow the program, and kick my booty!

Woooo and we’re back! This morning’s weather is exactly what I’ve been waiting for. Boots, scarves, jackets, sweaters, hot drinks, fuzzy slippers…you name it, I love it. Aside from the comfy/cozy factor, this weather is also great for morning runs. Crisp and cool and perfect.

Last night

Kman cooked dinner! He made some delicious chicken quesadillas, which we ate with some Greek yogurt on the side as a substitute for sour cream.

And no Mexican meal is complete without guacamole, so I whipped a quick batch up!

After living in California, a little part of me dies every time I see the price of avocados here. I used to be able to get them 4/$1 and here some places charge $2.50 EACH!

-1 for the east coast. But there are so many +1s that I think this is a pretty minor gripe.

Breakfast

I wanted to use up the rest of the leftover shredded chicken from last night, so I made baby omelettes for us. So simple! 1 egg, a little bit of shredded cheese, and some chicken. Cook, fold, cook, eat!
