All You Need is Love
Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! Unless you’re anti-Valentine’s Day, which I was for a looooong time. But whichever camp you fall into, I think we can all agree that a little extra love in the world can’t possibly be a bad thing.
So smile at some strangers, don’t glare at slow-walkers, and maybe be a little more patient and mindful than you usually would be and everyone wins!
Last year for Valentine’s Day, Kman came to visit me in SF (cue: awww’s!), but we didn’t want to go out to dinner. Instead, we opted for low-key cooking at home, eaten in the living room…which I had turned into a giant picnic-fort hybrid with tons and tons of blankets and pillows strewn all around. It’s turned into a little tradition, because we’re planning the same thing for tonight! Kman is on living room duty, while I whip up a small pizza, with a side of bamboo steamed dumplings!
In case you’re searching for some fun, cheap, date ideas for tonight…here are a few links:
And if you choose to go the fort route, here’s hoping that your fort experience is better than this!
For dinner last night, I was flying solo. I noticed a bunch of asparagus in the “EAT ME!” box, so I baked it up and had some as a side dish,
The main course was decidedly un-glamorous, but it really hit the spot. Salad with salsa, muenster, and a turkey burger on top!
Now it’s time to juice, kitty-wrangle, and get ready for the day!
Question: How are you celebrating (or not-celebrating!) today?
