Ain’t No Thing But a Chicken Wing Baby!
Last night, I ventured into the East Village to celebrate the birth of one of my nearest and dearest amigas…Nadege! Fancy, hoity-toity NYC restaurants be darned, she just wanted to go to town on a plate of chicken wings. A girl after my own heart! After scoping out a potential place, which we determined was a little to divy even for US (and that’s saying something!), we stumbled upon Dallas BBQ.
This place is a full blown tourist trap, and the fact that we ate outside made it that much funnier. There’s absolutely no sense in trying to eat healthy at a place that calls their large drinks “Texas-sized.” I’d be extremely suspicious of any salads that came out of that kitchen, and besides…I was jonesing for some chicken wings, too!
To start off? Naturally some sort of onion tower/donut hybrid.
Can you feel the heartburn? Keep reading.
Main course…SPICY WINGS!
Ooph. My stomach hurts just thinking about them. I only had 1 wing, and instead ate a couple buttermilk chicken tenders. Honestly, they weren’t the best wings ever, and I didn’t want to eat them just because they were there. I’d rather get my grub on at a more reputable wing establishment
Food aside, it was lovely to see some great ladies out for a fun dinner!
Biiiig plans tonight, guys. I’m going to have a laundry party when I get home, maybe go crazy and do the dishes and vacuum…and then? READ MY KINDLE! I know, I know…burning the candle at both ends, all that jazz. You can’t stop a party animal!
Actually, I’m getting up bright and early tomorrow morning to go watch Kman run the Queens half-marathon, so it’s early to bed for me.
I might have to re-use the sign I made him for his last half!
Yeah…we’re both pretty dorky and play this game called Minecraft. The sign references one of the monsters in the game hahaha.
Hope everyone has a great Friday, and an even better weekend!!
Question! We’re having a housewarming party next weekend and I’d love some fun ideas for easy, yummy food that is good for groups. I have some stuff planned, but always good to hear suggestions
